I've been researching and researching, I guess this is my sole hope. I've lived in Illinois and Rhode Island in the States before moving back to India. Now I need police clearance from these places. The link to the Illinois website doesnt seem to function and there is no site for Rhode Island which I can find. Help Me Please

You can put in a request thru American Embassy in form of letter addressed to police chief of these places. It will be forwarded to respective states and you will get your report. Process is time consuming and may take 2-3 months.

I don't think you need police clearances from those states. All they need is FBI clearance. In my case I lived in 5 states, but I just submitted FBI clearance only.
