I will try to help you by asking my wife to post a reply. She is an elementary school teacher after having done B.Ed. from Ontario.
the little I know is:
1. You have to get your qualification evaluated by Ontario School of Teachers.
2. They do recongnise B. Ed. from India - only if it is classroom attendence course, not correspondence.
3. In case B. Ed. is thru Correspondence, one has to provide other degrees for evaluation, say like BA/MA etc. If that is available, then one has to get admission into a university locally to do a one year B.Ed. course.
4. Getting into university is not very easy and also time consuming. The application for admission in September session close around February, so if anyone come between Feb and Dec has to apply for next session in next year's September.
5. The applicant is required to submit Original transcripts (marks sheet) sent in directly by the university to Canada in a sealed envelop. You cannot collect it from them and submit it personally. That at times becomes the heaviest task in the whole admission procedure, since unless you know someone in India who can get this work done by hook or by crook, it can take ages, and perhaps never come too.
So, as a start, try surfing the net and read the requirements of Ontario College of Teachers (OCT for short).

visit http://www.oct.ca" rel="nofollow">LINK and look for the list........ they want to clarify about 20 things. some of which are:
....... your B.ed was full time
....... it was of one year
....... you studied two teaching subjects
.......you atended 8 weeks of teaching practice.
........and so much more man maybe I will try to copy the list...... waitofy......its funny i know......well this is the site:

But I an not discouraging you........ I am telling you that doing all this is possible and I did it though it has taken time. So all you need is patience.
Well this was just for the evaluation......... after which they tell you what you need to study or not............ then you can be given Interim Certificate............ after which you have 1 year to appear for teacher qualifying Test .............. after which you get """""Teacher's Licence"""""
WELL DONT THINK THAT TO BE JUST FOR US........ EVEN STUDENTS FROM ONTARIO HAVE TO GO FOR ALL THIS.............the only difference is their paper work is done quickly and they are not askd to study anything.
Well if you have any other question........... feel free to contact me at
Bye friend.......... and yes one thing more....... I am not Mr. Chandresh's wife.......... I am My Mandeep Singh's wife.
