Inflated , manipulative and dubious bills are also quite common with wireless companies. Be careful of such things. Always make sure and don't pay blindly.
Things doesn't go honestly as you might take it for granted. Always make sure every thing in terms and conditions and other details filled.

Be carefule !

I have caller id on my Bell phone and I have checked there is one missing call and number is like 1-416-XXX-XXXX and I called back on this number to know the person and recording of girl voice were there. I immediately cut my phone. BELL charge me $25 for that one minutes phone.

Number is 1-416.... dont reply to know the person.

900 phone number company has now mask 1-416 on their 900 number to cheat the people. Even i have no long distance line from BELL.

I use cable modem for my internet connection. I suppose this autodialler stuff works only when using standard telephone lines as in DSL or dial up. Am I safe using cable modem?

this only works if you use dialup... the autodailer hijacks the voice/data modem on your computer.. if you use dsl, you are not dailing in, you have a dedicated connection to an internet gateway...

if you use cable/dsl but also use a phone line to send/receive faxes on your computer, then you are still vunerable...

best bet is, dont surf porn, and ALWAYS look at what you click on or allow to install/download... and keep virus defs updated...

I am new immigrant I bought rogers wireless service with my own triband phone for 25$ a month plus taxes with 200 minutes free in a month.
I used 149 minutes and I got a bill of 118$.Such a big stupidity by company. When questioned they said it doesn't fall in 200 minutes. Infact no one is ready to reply from last few days. i have made so many calls, sent them fax but even till today things are same.

Be careful of such incidences.

if your agreement clearly states when the plan comes into effect, and you want calls made outside of that to be covered, that isnt fair, is it?

at the end of the day, is it your responsibility to make sure you comply with the restrictions of the plan... its not roger's responsibility to tell you that if you make calls before the plan date, they will not be covered by the plan (besides... its common sense too isnt it?)...

its sort of like going to a resturant to eat dinner that has a buffet lunch, eating from the menu, and then wanting to pay buffet price...
