Dear friends,
Find good a good way to built carier in Canada.
New immigrants who are interested to built their carrier in Canada as an Engineer then they should apply for professional engineer. There are good opportunities for professional Engineers in Canada. After you apply you should write down one sentence in your resume that you have applied for P.Eng., Which will make lot of difference to get at lest an interview. If you have above 10 years experience in design field then it is easy to pass technical interview with ERC. If you want more help reply me.
Hi Piyush,
Are you working in the area of engineering? I passed P.Eng., Ontario but I needed 1 year experience to get the license. Anyways, now I am in US. However, I would love to hear about the job opportunities and success stories.
Thanks
Dear Piyush,
I am a mechanical engineer with 18 years experience in Dairy Plant Maintenance, Dairy Plant Production etc. I am landing in Toronto in Mid Nov, 2004. As advised by my agent, I got my evaluation done by Canadian Institiute of Technologists and Technicians (CCTT). My question to you is :
a. Do I need to do P. Engineering for getting some work in Dairy Field.
b. Can I start the processing for the P. Engg. from India?
c. Is there any technical examination which I need to clear and where from do I get such details?
Regards.
Roy
Hi Piyush,
I have applied for Engineering Assessment when I applied for Canadian Visa with Canadian council of Mechanical Engineers and they replied that I should appear for P Eng Exam to work as a qualified prof. engineer. They also said that I need atleast 2 years of Canadian Experience to apply for the same.
Could you please guide me further how I should proceed further. I am a mechanical engineer with total 9 years experience in Quality Control/ Management. Iam also having a membership registration with ASQ (America Society for Quality) and looking forward to apply for Certified Quality Engineer exam.
Is this P Eng is required only for design engineers? Because of Canadian job market situation I may not get a job in proper engineering field, in that case my experiance in any manufacturing industry is a valid experience to appear for P Eng exam. How much does it cost to get through this certification process?
Looking forward to your response
