Please provide detailed information for Vancouver:
1) Availability of settlement services in Vancouver. Website addresses,if any.
2) Availablility of odd-jobs for newly landed immigrants. Is it easily available, and what are the type of odd jobs?
3) Medical facilities. Is there a 3 month waiting period like Ontario?
4) Min. Room rent and temp.accomdation facility. VC Housing/temp. accomodation related website addresses.
5) Public Transportation system
6) Weather situation during Nov-Feb
7) General cost of living (housing, food, clothes, travelling etc.) for a single person.
8) Flights from India to VC

Yeah Smiley, thanks for the earlier information, but as it was not exhaustive, I decided to list out some specific queries.

2) Odd jobs are "NOT" very easiliy available but you get them after some time
3)There is a 3 month waiting period for medical in BC . It does not cover dental, vision and prescriptions
4) Room and board is easy to get
5) good transportation system
6) 1000$ for a single person per month
7) Cathay, Singapore etc

I know I am pestering you for all sorts of info., but as there are only few people who writes about VC in this forum , I thought you would be the right person to answer my queries.
As asked in my earlier mail,
1) Pls. comment about weather situation in VC during Nov-Feb?? I am planning to land that time!!
2) Regarding medical facilities, if I relocate to TO after spending 3-4 months in VC (i.e. after I start getting my health care facllities from the Govt. in VC), do I need to again wait for 3 months in TO for the health care facilities to begin??
OR
I can simplly transfer my medical card to ON, and start availing of health care from the very first day in ON itself?
