I am wondering if someone can give me feedback or any guidance.
- I applied for my parents and brothers sponsorhip in Dec 2000. My brother is now 26 yrs old and is a full time student. My parents speak English fluently and my brother is fully Bilingual in French and English.
- They were able to visit me. My parents came 2-3 times and my brother once
- New-Delhi did respond to my fax inquiries in 07/03 and 03/04. They stated that an interview was required (I cannot imagine why) and the time frame was 36 mths, then changed to 42 mths. 44 mths have passed and no news. We are very disappointed.
Can anyone share their experience? Thanks.

Did they apply under Parent Sponsorship application or under Independent Category?
I am sponsoring them so its under the parent sponsorship application. May I ask the difference between the two?
It is shocking to me, that 2000 applications are not cleared. Somewhere on this forum I read that application for Jan 2002 was cleared, the problem started for sponsorship applications after that.
My parent's application is pending since Jan 2003, where the acknowledgement issued by CHC New Delhi says the case will be cleared in one year and after March 2003, CHC has changed the timing thrice in one year.
It is also strange to know, how can you sponsor your brother when he is over 21 years of age as at Y 2000. I may be wrong but if it is true, it is news to me.
Difference between two is under sponsorship your file is first approved by CPC Mississuaga and once approved then ur parents have applied for Permanent Residency.
Post your question to Massood, he may be able to help you.
I would really appreaciate any suggestions from Mr Massood. My parents are in their 50's and in good health. Do you think there is a delay due to my brothers age? I was told by Quebec immigration that he falls into the criteria and the application was accepted.
Thank you in advance.

hi Indygirl,
It seems that your Brother age is delaying their application as they require interview to confirm that is full-time student since he turned 22.
Tell him to keep on studying until he get's PR
It's taking lot of time as Parents are on third priority after Spouses / Skilled workers so hang on ...
