I might be wrong but I know couple of my friends in GTA actually travelled via minivan (of course desi driver) and that particular guy is very good and as a matter of fact he'll drop you right infront of your aprtment/destination :)
In all other case u need to catch cab/Public transit to reach to your actual destination so need to spend little more for that:p

Where from I can get this minivan

Please inform distance from Toronto to Montreal.
Approx 350 miles(525 km)

How much time it will take by road or train.
If you drive by road it will be 6-6.5 hrs

Please inform the best way to comute from Toronto to Montreal
(Road,Train or Air)
and appx fair/exp.
Of course Air is best if you don't have any budget problem
Your best deal will be to look for desi guys who conduct Minivan Service between Toronto and Montreal (They normally charge $30-$40 per person)

How would I be able to find such minivan service? Is this advertised? Whoever provides the information about it: Thanks a million!

PS: I'm not Desi, BTW (so I hope I'm not expected to know the driver's native language (if it's not English)).

Hi Adam917,

Welcome aboard to Canadian Desi. While this place is full of desis (including me), it is nice to see a non-desi over here. :)

BTW desis speak more than 26 different major languanges and close to 500 dialects so we are forced to learn English(which helps us to talk to each other):D and hence the driver might know atleast minimal conversational english

English is normally not the mother tongue for any desi (except for a few people like anglo-indians)

ani70:

I am also interested in known about the minivan service. Appreciate if you can post the details.

Regards,
maple_asian

If you live near Malton or Rexdale, there are flyers pasted on the boards of Malton gurudwara and Rexdale gurudwara. I had seen his business cards also in Malton gurudwara. Unfortunately, I do not remeber the number. Next time when I'll go to Gurudwara sahib, I'll get that for you.

Thanks even though this isn't my first message here (my other one was about getting CompTIA A+ certification in Canada). :-) I really like the idea of everyone being called a Desi even right after they register and withut answering a question about your ethnic background, as it makes me feel like I'm a part of the community. BTW, is 'Desi' a general term to mean 'of South Asian origin' or is it specific?

Where are Malton and Rexdale? What are they as well? Names of roads, neighbourhoods, counties, towns, or cities?

Thanks...
