Mr Masood,
Let me ask my first question here, as it is not in my domain
Suppose that I am working outside Canada (e.g., the USA). Now for example if I get married and my wife comes to the USA on a H1B Visa... what would be the procedure to sponsor my wife to Canada ?
1.) Is it possible to sponsor my wife while staying oustide Canada ? Yes he can sponsor
2.) How much income do I have to show ? Does it have to be only my income or can my wife's income be added to my income ? Do I have to show liquid assets or would salary letters be sufficient ?
3.) A spouse can count the time of stay outside Canada , if she is accompanying her husband who is a Canadian citizen. Is this statement true ? What are the limitations of this approach ?
Your help will be appreciated
Sincerely

1. A citizen can sponsor his/her spouse from outside Canada.
2. There is no income requirement.
3. For preserving residency, such time is counted BUT NOT for citizenship.

#2.) But in some threads you pointed out that if a PR/citizen wants to sponsor his/her parents. he/she has to show X$.....
Is that clause only for parents and not for spouse ?
