I have applied for my PR Card on Feb/2003. I got my papers returned to me later the same month informing me that I need to provide a valid passport photos and that the passport that I am holding is not recognized ( it is a travelling document not a passport).
This is the same passport that I obtained my landing with and I don't know what to do since no body sees to know anyhting about this issue.
I need to do it well before 12/2003 since I am planning to travel in 2004. The PR Card process takes around 3-4- months
Your problem is interesting..

This is not an easy thing to apply for a canadian temporary passport as I have heard from some people who applied for it ( what are the conditions for applying for it before obtaining citizenship).
My main concern is not this; the PRC requires you to submit the passport that you obtained the landing with ( since they require the passport number to match the one in the landing paper), and since they consider the passport as \"INVALID PASSPORT\" as stated in the paper they attched with the returned application, I have reached a deadlock.
