Are you there?
dsd:
You will have to inform the embassy if child is born before you leave for Canada. This entails sending back your visas and forms + fee to include the little one(s). Adds couple of months to the process.
DO NOT BE TEMPTED OR MISGUIDED TO COME TO CANADA AND THEN DECLARE THE CHILD. You will close the doors for ever on that child. We are a groupd of lawyers fighting this unfair law in Federal Court at the moment. Stay tuned.

Dear Massood,
My Original question is still open. What will happen if a baby is born to a canadian residents ( not citizen) outside Canada ( say India). How would then the baby will enter canada.
What is the procedure for making the baby eligible for travel to Canada
baby can travel with a visitor visa and sponsored in Canada or sponsor returns to Canada and sponsors baby. Process takes couple of weeks.
Try applying for a visitpr's visa first. A refusal won't affect the subsequent sponsorship.

Thanks Massood,
For sponsoring the child, is it important for the Sponsor to be working in Canada. If yes then for how long should the sponsor be working so that he can sponsor the child.
Not working, just residing. Although immigration looks at work history etc to establish residence.
