Theres been so much to read on this forum about "Goras", "racists", "discrimination" and lots more which got me thinking what they would be thinking about US - the immigrants from outside !! I searched for a canadian forum and this is a commonly voiced but somewhat moderated opinion of the Canadians, i chose this one because there are a variety of people in it which you will see as you read it

Ugh, the longer I work in Canada the more I find out about Canada's evil, racist, discriminant and slimy ways of treating immigrants and minorities. I did not make this up, it is a fact and it is even on the news. I am disgusted. I want an explaination for Canada's inhumane acts against humanity.

From my experience,immigrants and minorities have to work so much harder to get promotions and sometimes no promotions at all!! Look at the upper management levels of companies, the majority are white. 99% of the immigrants and minorities with outstanding experience and education all work at the lowest levels most of the times. Fair and Equal treatment?!? I am suprised Canada didn't join the Axis during world war 2 when all they care about is white supremecy. Yet many fail to realize that there is no such thing as a master race. FACE IT!! NOBODY is better than anybody. What makes the immigrants and minorities any different?!?!

Immigrants on the other hand are lied and tricked into Canada so they can do the jobs that most Canadians won't do. Jobs such as: general labour, handyman, salesman, construction, taxi man, janitor you name it. While they are doing that, the Canadians can sit in the comfort of there own office while the immigrants do all the dog work. All this rah rah rah about Canada is false, we are in a recession, no doubt it may soon end up worse than the 30's.

Every single door to door salesman that knocks my door is a new immigrant with an outstanding degree and experience in their former countries. COME ON, doctors doing door to door sales...... Way ta go Canada, have the immigrants come on thier first day, send them doing door to door salesman and get yelled at by the very Canadians that tricked them here. You are giving them a very good impression of Canada.

Opprutunity?? Do what you like?? Unfortunatley this does not apply to immigrants and minority. You can't choose to do what you like in Canada. If you study to become a computer engineer you most likely will end up with a totally different job that you will oppose tooth to nail with. Thats the economy of Canada. Those immigration officials of Canada lie so much that people who are managers, ceos, scientists from other countries are forced to quit their professions, only to end up in a dog's job in Canada. That is the LOWEST OF THE LOW man.

You have a broken door knob? or a minor water leakage in you kitchen sink? Fix it yourself! It is your property! Your Country! Quit stealing doctors, scientists, CEOs, etc. from other countries to do these minor work for you just for 1/1000000 of what they were earning before.

I notice a lot of Doctors are being tricked into canada to do some really lame job. They have LIVES to save!! LIVES! Why should someone have to die to fix your doorknob?! What have the patient or doctor done to deserve this?? I noticed also a door to door salesman who solicited to me was a doctor, and just about every door he gets yelled at. Here he is getting yelled at when he could be at his home country saving lives. UGH Canada....

Yeah, yeah, I am the guy that criticised Canada big time on this forum right? But so far the way the system is working it is not giving me a very positive image.

In the news.. oh, ofcourse. Anyone who bases their opinion on the news is not (in my opinion) very intelligent or open minded to a) the truth or b) only recognises the truth if it's in their best interest.

This is hogwash. So many Canadian companys now have race quotas which in now way meet that of the population makeup. In favour of "minorities". You are just trying to blame someone for your misfortunes, and that is the white guy.

Immigrants from the middle east, east Asia, South America, Mexico and so many other places are lucky to even have been allowed to enter Canada.

They couldn't, once again, get into the United States or Europe.. so they came here.

Don't compare a third world education with a Canadian, European, American or Japanese education. They are simply not compatible and you can't just resume your life in a better country, with better living conditions without any losses. You have to relearn. If you can't afford it, then don't come to Canada! We can't be expected (as taxpayers) to educate immigrants when our own education is achieved at great expense.


if you don't like it, goto the USA or Europe. Oops, can't do that.

Canada: We'll let you in, you can get social assistance, you can live off of our system. You can upgrade your life, but don't expect a free ride if you want to get above poverty level (which is high living compared to Iran, Pakistan, India, China, Indonesia, etc). You have to upgrade your skills and you must relearn North American practice in whatever career you're in.

France: Pretty loose immigration rules. You don't want to be taking a job away from a Frenchman, or you WILL hear about it.

Germany: You must be German to be a citizen. By blood, not by birth. Simple as that. If you want to work there, you had better be a really skilled person that a German can't compete with. Otherwise, you might be lucky to get a job as a janitor somewhere which your resident & work permit is still valid.

USA: One word: Melting Pot. If you can get into the United States, you should have sponsor and you should be a skilled at your profession. Otherwise, expect a janitor or hotdog man job.

Australia: Don't even think about it. If you aren't Australian, don't expect them to let you live and work there unless you're a) already rich or b) can offer something to their economy that they NEED.

Japan: Japanese only.

So can still tell me Canada is unfair? Canada is the most fair and nurturing country in the world!

It looks like you are blaming Canadians for yours or someone else's misfortune.

Seriously, if you don't like our country, go somewhere else. It's not upto Canadians to make your life better. You have to do that yourself.

Bunch of horse Poo. I immigrated to Canada and I never felt or seen any of the BS you are talking about. As a matter of fact, if you look carefully, you see that the CEO's, Bank managers and so on are immigrants or non-white. Canada is the place to be.

very very interesting reading...

in my own personal experiences, of all the white guys i have known, only two were racist (half of them hated gays and lesbians but thats another story)... conversely, pretty much every single desi i know except my wife practices some sort of racism or bigotry... be it racial decent or religion...

realistically, if you look at it, desi's are the most racist of all... since most of us are brown and its not as clear as black/white, we express our racism in more imaginative ways... like who's god is better... or which part of india we come from...
