i have ot say that racism in canada is of a very low level and even if somebody act racist its not open or on your face.
Anyway, where there is no racism? isnt in india, people do racism based on cast, religion or language or nepotism..

So have a positive attitude..

Yup, the notion of racism itself is not very practical since about 50% of the population in Toronto itself is not Canadian born. Moreover, approx 50% of the population itself is of a visible minority - for the statistics, check out the link below.

Unfortunately we seem to be having a lot of racial profiling being done in the North America, especially in the US. About 2 months ago, while travelling in the mid-west in the US, I flew 4 segments within 72 hours and was pulled out of line and wanded for explosives on every segment even though I didn't set the metal detector off. A lot of ppl may confuse that with racism, but its just part of the enhanced security measures, and it makes us all safer, heck do it a 100 times over!
