Hi All,

You people may not have seen much of my posts, but i have been regular in reading all the topics and kept myself up to date in this site.

I got my immigration and before coming here , i use to read a lot in this site. I tell you, this site prepared me of each anf everything,..Be it clothes, airlines.. jobs.. evrything a new immigrant can think of.

By the grace of God, i got a job after two days i landed in my own field only. Its just 15 days i have landed and i think i am settled...:)

One thing i dont like about people posts here is they talk about negative things a lot. This is dishearting for new immigrants especially who are just about to come to canada. I request you all to please cheer up the new immigrants and help them out as much as possible.

Once again thanks to all you guys....

luv
sunny

Congrats Sunny ,

This is really great news . Even tho you have not been posting much so far , it will be really nice to see more of your posts .

It is really heartening to hear about your job success.....almost everyday i come across many many upbeat immigrants like you ( not just desis) of many other nationalities who get a break early on but unfortunately they are not a part of this forum .

Please do tell about your experiences to the new immigrants who are already here and are about to come. I feel those who are struggling here can atleast get some help from our encouragement .... just drumbeating into their heads all depressing views about Canada only hurts them.

NO immigrant should think that Canada is a dreamland, like any other place this place has its drawbacks too .
I feel one can thoroughly enjoy the settlement process by being realistic but also upbeat and optimistic.

Welcome to Canada.

Congrats Sunny_IT!!

I've edited the title of your post a bit. Its really good to know that CanadianDesi helped prepare you for your move here. This is the stuff that makes it all worthwhile! :)

Please do contribute to the forum some details of your preparation (job-related) prior to coming here and how you managed to find something so quickly. I'm sure you'll have some great tips for others who're planning to move soon.

Anyways, congrats once again and a very warm welcome to a soon-to-be freezer. :)

The sun is shining on u already

Thats the beauty of this site .It gears u in the momentum and syncronised u with what-2-expect-n-canada thus saving a new Immigrant from the trial n error based learning expereince .

Wish sm other dormant successful members also relate their expereinces -- wl def change the flavor .

You id says Sunny_IT, does it mean that "job in my own field" is software? It would have been great if you could post exactly what software do you specialize in as there are many canadiandesi who are looking for a break in IT.

As asked by BlueLobster, you can put on canadiandesi, how did you prepare for the job as it seems you landed from India (your location shows India).

Canadiandesi is an overall democratic forum. So I think it would be wrong to stop asking people not to post anything negative . Even though positive posts about someone finding a job, etc., are encouraging, you can definitely see an element of truth in negative posts too and people should take it as a challenge and not as someone discouraging.

You landed and found a job in 2 days (positive posting), there are some who landed and could not find any suitable job at all (negative postings), so can we ignore them? Any immigrant landing in Canada could become either one and that is what everybody wants to understand.
