Hey you guys...

Thanks for ur replies...i didnt expect i will be getting so many replies.....
Am happy that now am part of canadiandesi in real terms...:)

ok fine...based on my experiences so far i would like to put my finding regarding job hunting as below:

1. BE POSITIVE..... ( now dont put + sign on ur head)..:) isnt it a PJ.

1.. lets be serious ... firstly i would like to put stress on the resume writing. I belong to India and i have worked in indan software industries only. I have read so many posts regarding resume format in canada. Frankly i didnt change a bit in my resume for applying in canada. Read ur resume atleast 10 times and just think ..if u come accross this resume ...WLL U HIRE THIS guy???? frame it as...if someone reads it...he should think U R THE Person for this job.

2. Start applying for each and every company. Doesnt matter if its a small or big comoany.. Create ur profile in workopolis and mosnter sites... apply everyday....

3. Improve ur communication skills.... this is what i have found after coming here.... Communication skills is ranked very high in canadian companies... HALF points goes to that. how you communicate...

4. Interact with consultants...talk to them as if they are ur clients... just give them cold calls every now and then. I must have spent 6-7 hrs talking to just consultants.

5. rest God is there to help you.

As one of you have asked... yes i am in IT ( software development) industry for the last 5 years.

if need be....am always there to help new immigrants.....

regards
-Sunny

Congrats Sunny,

Its very good to see, that you are happy and quite satisfy after landing even after just 15 days. It also shows that you might have got the job.
All new prospective immigrants required only your type of spirit. As some time when we see negative views on this site, it becomes very disharten to our type of persons who are in the que of immigrations. So please keep posting of your experiences.

Any suggestion if you would like to give, to shorlty coming imm..?
