Dears
Could someone clarify the following :
1. The Demand Draft towards Visitor Visa Application while submitting at Chandigarh should be made in favour of CANADIAN HIGH COMMISSION payable at NEW DELHI or CHANDIGARH ?
This aspect is not clarified on the CIC website.
2. Also can one few original documents like CCRA Assessment Sheet instead of notarised documents ? Will they be acceptable ? And does the Embassy retain the supporting documents or returns the same ?

Together, we shall make it happen !
Hi,
My parents got 6 months single entry Visitor VISA on 18-Oct-2004 from New Delhi. They have applied for PR under family class category in Jan-2003 from India.
Hope this would encourage others for visitor VISA who have applied for PR.

Last year, my dad applied for Visitor visa via mail in the same situation and got it (5-yr multiple) without any problems. The application requires you to mention whether somebody has filed for PR for you, which we did. But other than that, he did'nt attach any special documentation.
I should mention though that he had been to Canada once before and also has a lot of other international travel.
Hi BL,
We are in a similar situation. I have sponsored my parents and my wife has sponsored my mom-in-law. At the time when we submited the application, we didn't know or think it would take so long. We were thinking of getting a tourist VISA for them. Infact my mom has been to US and Canada twice and my mom-in-law has been to Canada, once. My father never came to either country. We thought the application may not be accepted, and hence we were avoiding it. Is it possible, that I can send you personal mail or call you and get exact detail abt the issue. I would really appreciate the same.

Hello,
Could somebody suggest the procedure to contact local MP for a favourable letter for Parents Visitor Visa and what are the contents like ?
Anybody who has availed such facility in the recent past may please share his experience.
Thanks in advance
