Hi bharat
To work in capital markets here you have to get license and clear couple of exams of CSI. Check http://www.csi.ca" rel="nofollow">LINK

Hi bharatbagaria1,
The Canadian capital market is one of the most competent, regulated and efficient in the world. All stock exchnages have gone electronic (compare it with NY Stock Exchnage which still has floor trading). The bond market , of course, is over-the-counter market. The major players are big Banks, mutual funds, security dealers and insurance companies.
The back office jobs per se do not require licensing but if you have the base qualification (CSC could be one as suggeated by BOMO2) and experience, it would certainly be helpful. These are entry level jobs and the company provides training.
The compensation is not that great but the job could become a stepping stone for something bigger.
