Hi,

I live in USA. I am planning to come to canada and will be leaving canada in 3 days. By that time i am planning to apply for my PR Card. Will there be any issues if i leave canada in 3 days. Reason of my coming is to get my PR Card. What all thing i will need to show them when i land in canada?

Thanks for your help.

Agam,
When you land the list of documents you need to bring is there in the package sent to you by the CHC along with your visa.

Essentially you need your passport, landing papers , proof of funds ,list of possessions you plan to bring with you etc. Check the list sent to you .

If you tell the immigration officer that you plan to leave in 3 days , ( because i also asked the same question to them), thery will tell you that it is not advisable to leave canada without recieving you PR card. In all probability, you r PR card will be mailed to your canadian address in a few weeks and you need not worry. Should they call you to collect the Pr cards, then you will be in a soup.

Your only option then will be to return back to Canada by taking a special one time entry permit from the Canadian embassy.

Hi Agam,

Just to add something here.. it might be imp in your case as you will be travelling from US

You DON'T NEED PR card if you are entering by private vehicle or by foot to canada . you just need to show your landing document and PP.

this is FAQ from official website
