i have applied from india (delhi) in sept 2003 and recd an AOR in dec2003. i wanted to know how much iot will take now and i have scored 6.5 in my ielts exam can this score help me in getting a interview waiver?
i am working for a MNC in india and looking after thier internaional operations i.e. US and Uk operation in india. can this help me to prove in efficience in english??. i am A graduate from india in the commerce and accounts with almost 4 years of expirence in the capital market and 3 years in sales and marketing while i was studing. can this many years of exp count on getting an interview wavier.

Hi bharatbagaria1,
Please check the total marks you secure as per new point grid system. The timeline for cases being processed has increased, in fact. After the marks have been lowered to 67, a lot of people qualify and thus the processing time has increased.
If you are lucky ( Based on variuos parameters of CIC ), you might get an interview waiver. I would not hope to get an interview waiver if I was working in a MNC looking after US and UK Markets. I would strongly advise you to take IELTS again and increase your overall bandscore to at least 7.5. Wish you all the best. However, this is my personal opinion.
Cheers,
Ayaskant.

thanks a lot Ayaskant for ur advice
it not possible for me to a exam right now because of my working commitments.
as of my marks goes i score some were 73 points as per consultant. Should that be enough.
I also forgot to mention that Mr. Massood would have probably answered similar questions relating to timeline.
However, I have one question for Mr. Massood.
There has been a lot of debate on timeline for 2002 & 2003 cases. The general impression is that the timeline for cases being processed has increased after the marks have been lowered to 67, as the number of cases being processed has increased. Request you to shed light on this issue.
Thanks an regards,
Ayaskant.

Hi bharatbagaria1,
You can calculate your marks yourself. Check out the following link.
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/skilled/qual-1.html
I think Mr. Massood should advise you on whether 73 marks is enough or whether you could improve your overall marks in IELTS, to have a better chance of interview waiver.

mr massood please help on this
Hi Guys,
I am sure Mr Massod will shed light on your queries. But let have mine 2 cents say.
The CHC delhi is processing all the back log cases of 1999-2000-2001. So it happens a person who applied on 30th Dec got his visa way back last year while Any person who applied after 1st Jan 2002 coolly sits & waits ( except for the hdrc approved job offer cases)
Still lot many cases are pended of these three years. CHC clear generally 500 cases per month approx for skill category person. Only they knows as how still cases of these three years are still pending.
Rest you all must have gone through processing timings. It is 33 months first review. After that take one more year in case interview is waived. Or add 3 years if interview is required. This is just my wild guess.
On interview wavier criteria. Generally it is believed that in case person score 7+ in all four category of IELTS, they generally waived his /her interview. Still here it is upto officer discrition. I have seen many cases where interview is waived for even 6.5 score people . While One case I know where even after scoring 7+ in IELTS the person was asked to wait for interview. So just pray to god & wait for your luck. Wanna want to change this wait time then try ur luck on getting HDRC approved job offer.
