I came to canada almost before one year with student viza, After completing my one year study I got work permit for one year.
Now I am with work permit in canada and I want to apply for immigraion.
I don't have even 67 points as I am just 20 years old and still undergraduate.
I am very serious about my future. I dont understand what to do.
I am planning to go to any good university for graduation, but to study as an international student in university is very coastly, although I can afford the fees in university, I thought it's better to go to study after having P.R . but it will take atleast 2 more years. So that means I'll have to stay here for more 2 years as a student...?
Lots of people just get extension as a student and they dont go to college as they just work in cash mony, but I don't think it is good idea to do so....
Hi Jigz787,
let me explain your options...
1) If you are currently working in job which falls in NOC O,A or B category and you are able to complete one yr full-time ( I'm asuming that you got work permit of 1 yr) then later on ask your employer if they can apply for HRDSC confirmation for that job ( even though it's very difficult but not immposible) so that you can stay on this job and it would give your 15 more points to overcome passing marks.
and in case you not able get HRDSC confirmation ( also called labour market opinion) you can go back to school for studies and could get HRSDC arranged job offer ( it's easy to get as compared to LMO) to increase your score to passing level.
to know more about these two different HRDSC opinions go to
http://www.hrsdc.gc.ca/en/epb/lmd/fw/supperimm.shtml" target="_blank">http://www.hrsdc.gc.ca/en/epb/lmd/fw/supperimm.shtml</a>
Keep in mind that with arranged employment confirmation you are not able to get work permit. However, it will boost your points
2) IF you are not working in a job that falls under O,A or B class the best option for you would be to study in quebec as it's easy to get immigration in quebec when you are a student...check official website for more information
http://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/anglais/immigration/students/step.html" target="_blank">http://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/anglais/immigration/students/step.html</a>
as you have already used once in life time oppourtunity for post-grad work permit, you can't go and study in those provinces ( AB, NS, NB and SK) in which you could get PG work permit for two yrs, so that you can stay as worker while your application is in process

Special Requests: Please call me after 5:30 because I am self-employed and my employer does not know I am looking for another job
Hi Smartguy
Well, I was just trying to explain original poster options. Even though I never got time to go thru it ( hopefully I don't have to ...that's why we have too many punjabi families here )
However, doesn’t hurt to try
