Hi,
I am planning to start the immigration process to Canada. Will it do any good if I do the procedure through some consultant? Or it does not make a difference at all and I can submit my application directly to the Candaian consulate. Please advise.
If I start the procedure, submitting the application immediately, how many years it will take for the Visa to come by.
For birth certificate can I use the 10th standard marks card where my date of birth is printed? Or do I need to procure a birth certificate given by the Village authorities of the village where I was born.
Please reply.
Regards,
Avarachan
Hello there.
1) Please give an appropriate title to your post.
2) For your question about consultants, use the SEARCH IN CHARCHA feature (we have discussed it many times). Its on the CHARCHA main page. Click there and type "Immigration consultant" in the search box.

Are you there?
Hi Avarachan,
I would suggest that you file on your own. The work involved in filing and correspondence is not worth the 50000 - 60000 INR which you would pay the "consultant". This money can be better used for your air fare etc.
Class X certificates suffice as proof of age - and your passports too.
Allow me to suggest that you should go through the Overseas Processing Manual OP 1 and OP 6. Its available on the http://www.cic.gc.ca" rel="nofollow">LINK site or if you have trouble finding it just type "overseas processing manual OP1" in the google search bar. Download it and refer to it whenever need be.
Whatever is required to be done in the immigration process on your part is clearly written in these two manuals.
Also there is no difference in treatment of the applicationmade through a consultant or ones made directly by the applicant - by the CHC.
After applying keep browsing this site regularly - it will you an good insight into what you can expect - things which oone usually has doubts about - jobs, place to stay, what happens at the airport, how to get a SIN card etc.
Hope i have answered your question.
All the best friend -
Regards
