Hi,

I am waiting for my H1 papers. Can I schedule an appointment for stamping before the papers arrive? Because it is one month waiting time in Toronto. Also can anybody tell me about the documents required for H4 stamping. Can I do it on the same day when H1 is stamped ?

Wait for your H1 Papers befor you schedule your interview.
You can apply for H4 at the same time you are going for H1 stamping.
Other than the passport,you need Marriage certificate and Birth Certificate.You can take your Educational certificates (H4).And a letter from the US employer that so and so, are wife/children of so and so. I did it several years back.
And of course you have to carry passport photos.
But if you are applying for H4 seperately, you need to take the original passport of the H1 holder or the photo copies of all the 36 pages of the h1 passport holder (even though some pages may be blank) , including the Visa stamped page,along with the copy of his/her H1 papers.
That's all I can remember. Hope this information is useful.
