DEAR MEMBERS,
I would like to know some earnest opinions and advices from experienced landed immigrants and also those planning for Canada immigraion on this particular orgnisation which has offices worldwide.
It has this Global Placement Services whereby candidates enrolled in it(ofcourse for a fees )are trained and groomed for Canadian jobs and it predicts a good outcome for its applicants/candidates.
Please let me know the views, advices and suggestions on this 'hot-topic' of finding a job in Canada after landing.
Why i am taking the name of this particular agency is that most of the times the job work(hamalgiri!) done to find on the net and even thru'education fairs, etc goes unnoticed or simply because Canadians are given first preference than landed immigrants.
Awaiting your esteemed replies.

GPS is useless !!!!!!!
Dontdepend on them, unless you plan to do a labour job. When we arrived here, to our surprise, the so called "Placement Executives", started giving us list of "Probable" employers, where we can do labour job. Obviously I told them I have not come here to do this and that find a suitable job. They rudely said, if one has to survive, then one has to do any job !!!!!! I went and spok with Curtis Panke abt the same. Finally, I ended up getting a job in a telemkyg co. Fortunately, I found a better position within the co. i only 2 months. But I just wonder, as to what would have happened, if Iwas to start working in those ind., I would have never come out of that SHELL.
This does not mean that w/out GPS, one can't find job. Once you are here, you are on your own. Just kep one thing in mind that there is NO GOING BACK. Eventually one will succeed.
All the best

Let's help each other to grow & prosper in Canada
Somebody told me they promise to get you a job when you hire services of W.... They do not tell what the nature of job is. They will say "We never promised you a job where you will be employed as a doctor, engineer, or manager. We did promise you a job and here it is.... a warehouse worker. This is not like India where there is no dignity of labour. Here you have dignity of labour".
Welcome to Canada!

Hi
I did landed in Canada through the same organization. However, when I went to their office for the first time, I knew they are useless. They have offered me the same labor jobs, as pointed out by our members here. You have to understand one thing. I had no time for follow-up and doing the documentation in India at that time. That was the only service I expected these guys to do. And they did that perfect. I had no expectations of placements from them. The moment you expect somebody else to place you in a job, you better think once again. Do you have the confidence in the so called skills, that led you here? I am sorry, but I have to say this. Most of the people who complain about not getting jobs in Canada after landing are the ones who either had no prior experience(we had a joke in Hyd that a traffic constable got trained in SAP and got the H1B Visa) or have no skills to face any competition. In my own field of expertise,SAP R/3, I do challenge people to come forward with their experience of not getting jobs in Canada, even though they had tons of experience. Placement is guaranteed at no cost after my first phone contact.
Thanks
Regards,
Jay

Well said, Jay. Unfortunately most Indians coming here won't accept this. They look around half heartedly and in a haphazard manner, then commiserate among themselves about how the system is so bad, Canada is discriminatory, or life is sh*t, etc.....
Lots of people on this site that claim to have 'tons of degrees', would be interesting if anyone has the skill set that you are looking for.......
Cheers
