I am from Hamilton. 2BR aprts here cost you upwards of C$800. Is it si pretty good place but not the hustle bustle of Toronto. I do not undertand how living in Hamilton will have any bearing to your visiting NJ in the US? If you plan to fly, Toronto is a better. I don't know if Hamilton has connections to NJ. And if you want to drive, living closer to Buffalo will be better, say in St Catherines. Visit http://www.homestead.on.ca/index.asp to look at the availability and costs of apartments.
