Do we have any CD from Manufacturing sector .Can anyone advise me the skill set required for an Engineer of 30 yrs of age having 8 yrs of exp. in Bearing Manufacturing (Grinding,Superfinishing,Having hands on Exp of CINCINNATI,WMW,BLANCHARD,HEALD,C/LESS MACHINES,good knowledge of Process))to get employed in Canad.I am asking it so that I can sharpen or take a course(like Six sigma etc.) in those skills as I am a prospective immigrant of canada????

You can develop your self on SIX SIGMA -Black belt certification and also since you are in bearing industry i dont have much idea but if you can concentrate on lean manufacturing, JIT , KANBAN and all those japanese stuff it would be help ful and of course if you have CNC exp. it would be added advantage.

By visting this forum I have come to know that there are very few engineers from Manufacturing field....Is that true....and I am planninng to get Six Sigma certification from American Society for Quality.....Will it help.....and please tell me how can I know that which certification I will have to take before I can proactice & work as a Manufacturing engineer....I guess the struggling period will be 2-3 years or more???
