Hi,
I am new to this forum and this is the first time I am posting a message here ,I need an advice from all the people who have been sharing their views in this forum through their messages . I hope you people will help me in taking a big decision at such crucial stage of my career.
I had applied for canadian PR visa in the year 2001 and received my medicals only last month and I feel it would take another 5-6 (even more) months to get my PR visa . When I had applied for my canadian immigration visa ,I was only 23 years old and had just started my career in a finance company.I was getting a salary of Rs. 7,500 and was working at entry level , and Now after 4 years I have become a Manager in a big MNC ,getting a salary of around Rs. 75,000 per month .
During these last four years my life has changed a lot and now I have not been able to decide if I actually need to move to canada to improve my life further .
Please advice if this would be the right career move .
Regards
Bad question to ask An_Optimist. Why are you seeking advice on what to do with your future? Do you want to avoid the responsibility of making your own decsions and bearing the consequences?
Let us look at the scenarios that emerge from your question:
The advice you will likely get anywhere will cover both options - after a lot of questions and replies, ultimately you will have some who will suggest that you immigrate, and some who will say don't! You will then make one choice. Immigrate or not immigrate!
Let us say you decide to immigrate. That choice may eventually have two outcomes - success and failure! If it is success you will feel good and thank the site and the members who suggested that you immigrate. What if the outcome is failure? Who will you blame? Yourself? Are you sure?
Rewind tape. Let us say you decide not to immigrate. That choice may have effects later. Sometime later in your life you might end up thinking that you missed a golden opportunity to go and live in a first world country and to provide a good environment for your progeny. You might possibly see someone in Canada, equal in your career, making more money and living better off than you. You will then rue the day when you made the choice not to immigrate! Who will you blame? Yourself? Are you sure?
Look for facts. Ask for information. And then make an informed choice! Not one based on advice and opinions from others!

The Cynic
If I were you , I would stick to my position and stay in India, If you intend to move here and have made up your mind then you should visit CA initially and spend some time/hunt for jobs and give it a shot, But with 75k per month i dont think so you should make a move..
I am sure you can have a much better quality life in India with this kind of salary you are making and that too within such short span.
It was my opinion solely

If you came to 75,000 from 7,500 in just 4 years imagine how much u will be making in the coming 4 years.. may be around 2,00,000 per month..
You should not forget that your career can always advance in India as well unless you feel that you have reached the saturation point.
Anyway.. whatever your decision about Immigration.. I must congratulate you on your success in India..
I also come to imagine what would have happened if you had devoted yourself 100% in your current job, rather than worrying about the immigration related hassles.. I guess you would have progressed even further.. may be to 1,00,000 per month.
I won't say you will not find any job once you immigrate to Canada.. looking at your success and exponential growth in India, I am sure you are a smart human being and you will find a suitable position in Canada as well..
Lets say you start with a small job in Canada with $1800 per month, you may be reaping $18,000 a month in next 4 years if you work as hard as you did in India.
Anyway.. make your decision.. you have about 4-6 months still in Hand.. so aaram se baith ke socho ki kya karna hai..

Your attitude, not your aptitude, will determine your altitude.
Ya, I too feel the same
