My program is Honors Specialization in Pharmacology and Toxicology and with a minor degree in Psychology.
London has a lot to offer...
Night clubs, bars, pubs..
Just drive down Richmond Street and you will see what london has to offer...The nightlife is amazing...
My weekend getaway is either clubs or bars or pubs!!
The nightlife is good on all days in London..
Every night has something special happening at some place
Jim Bob Rays (bar/club) is awsum on Wednesdays and weekends..
Phoenix (night club, one of the best in the GTA) is awsum on Thursdays...
Fridays and Saturdays is excellent too...but i would prefer to go there on Thursdays..
GT's (bar/club like Jim Bob's) is amazing on weekends
Ceeps (best place to be on hockey, and football nights)...Amazing on weekends
Barking Frog (again another bar/club)...good on weekends...some nights u will find a lot of desi ppl here..
Molly Blooms (irish pub)- Very good one...good music...live bands on wednesdays and saturdays...
There is a lot more i can write about...You should come down here and check out London and get a hang of it..
This should help!!!
Cheers!!

So in my last post I mentioned that we were about to move to London ON, and we are here now (have been for the better part of a year) Anyway, just wanted to say that it is a really beautiful city, and I love living here.

Took me about two months to find myself another job (not too bad) and I'm working right downtown on Richmond and Oxford St.

It's relatively hard to meet other desi couples from around here but we have made some great friends with neighbours, colleagues etc.

If you happen to be in London too and would like to expand your social network - get in touch!

Laters.

Hi there
Few Q)
1. How do I travel from Toronto to London(ONT). Any specific train ? bus service?

2. Which stop should I get down? any specific stops to reach downtown?

3. If I get selected how where do i search for sharing apartment? I looked on Criaglist. Its helpful but looking for desi room mate. I am male clean, no smoking or drinking.

4. how about Desi groc stores?

Regards

Best mode to travel to London from Toronto is Via rail. starts from Union Station ( train no 73) which goes to windsor , takes 2 hours to reach London, Ontario. The London station is in the heart of city and in downtown area. There are atleast 4 trains a day.
There is also an international airport in London and flightsare available from here to Toronto.

I only lived in company provided hotels , so cannot comment on shared apartments, but seeing the heavy concentration of students in this area , there must be bunch of options. There also some india grocery stores but not many indian restaurants. Though there are surprisingly many eating joints and chain here - The Keg, Joe Kools, Jack asters, teasers, italian/mexican restaurants. a 19 storey Hilton, 14 storey Marriot , Delta , Hampton etc hotels in area shows that lot of business and tourist activity going on. The area is more white (for the time ;-)). The budwieser gardens sports complex competes with the rogers center of Toronto and hosts lot of sports activities.

It is indeed a quite little town growing as city with quite a few high rise buildings. There is lot of construction going in outskirts towards windsor/ detroit and proximity to waterloo also helps. The area will grow in future, though scope of IT companies or other consulting businesses, setting a shop here will remain low for few years. Good for starting a small business or investing in real estate for future.

I am planning to move to London Ontario since I have Job offer in CAMI Plant GM in Ingersoll.
Question:
Is there any one going from London to CAMI (Ingersoll) with whom I can share transportation and accommodation.
