Hi all ,
It seems School boards are having no preset standard to follow.
My daughters landed in TO on Oct 16, they eldest had cleared Grade 12 from India, and the other 2(twins) had cleared their grade 11th from India , however the district board @ greenwood directed all the 3 daughters to a school in grade 11 , my elder daughter has compromisingly started her schooling with her younger sisters.
Can any body guide on the further course of action to be taken in respect of their credits of their study in India, as it stands I am still not clear on how much credits r they getting for their studies in India

Whenever you experience joy, peace, security, equanimity or purity, it is only because you are aligned with ALMIGHTY.
I have no clear answer for you question, however whatever school board suggests it is better to follow. Basically they must have tested your daughters for their skills in major subjects.
According to me putting someone is lower grade here is better. They wiill have better time to prepare for university/college.
My opinion.

Yeah, Here in Canada, Studying in lower grade w.r.t. your age is not bad at all.
Did they evaluate ur elder kid? If they evaluated her, perhaps that's what is best for her. On the other hand, i myself had to fight just to get an evaluation.
If she wasnt evaluated and if u dont agree with the boards decision, you can tell that to them and ask them if ur case can be reviewed by someone higher in their hierarchy. U have to FIGHT and make sure that they evaluate her!!!
I myself went thru this process and my kid was evaluted and he is in fact studying one year ahead of his age. As per his age, he ought to be in grade V, and he is studying in grade VI.
So, what i can say is that I do think that merit counts, but you may have to put up a fight.
2 of my ex-bosses kids are also studying ahead of their age. They had to undergo physchological evaluation, which they passed, but that was in Quebec. Provincial laws regarding this may be slightly different.
Having said that, All my experiences regarding this issue took place with Primary School/Middle School boards and I dont know how it works at the high school level, but it maybe worth a try.
