Hi to all...
Honestly speaking not much value. They prefer Canadian experience here. Its the same as coming from India with Indian experience.
But you might get lucky also. I am sure some on this forum disagree with me. That is what my judgement is however,
hi desiskywalker

Hi to all...
Any experience is useful....it all depends how you are able to market your skills and how well you can communicate ie. english english not desi english.
Hi! Here is what I feel from my personal experience of living and working in the Gulf.
It gave me a better exposure to multi-cultural society upon landing here in Canada. I got job in my line of work (sales) immediately upon landing. I can also tell you about lots of other people from Middle East, some whom I know personally, and they too have found good jobs in Canada.
Getting a driving license becomes very easy and many receive their G-license in the 1st try ( one can even skip G2).
Coming from the Gulf gives you a better comfort zone in dealing with people from different nationalities, especially the Europeans and North Americans.
The employer do rate the international experience of Gulf, as most of the time the same companies (MNCs) also have their offices in M.E. But yes, I would agree that the Canadian experience matters the most.
