In Canada you can get Voltage adapters 110/220 or other way round from Radio Shack for approx. 60 Dollars.
Alternatively you can get one from the Brampton Flea Market for 5 dollars including tax.
I bought one from the flea market and its working fine since two years:)

Hi. I am too lookin for same info. I am moving in May from Abu Dhabi and Ii wud like to know which Air Lines is safe and ecnomical leaving all Russian air lines aside.

Olympic Airlines is apparently the cheapest. Alitalia would be next. Both fly out of Dubai though.

Etihad do flights out of Abu Dhabi connecting with United and some other airline via London Heathrow and Gatwick

Guys,
I shipped my stuff (sea frieght) from Dubai last month to Vancouver. I used ISS worldwide movers (tel.: 04-3038648). I chose door-to-door.
I shipped 3/4 container. Stuff is scheduled to arrive in Vancouver on 21 Feb. The guys were very professional. Packing was great. They are a bit more expensive compared to other cowboys in Dubai but the cheapest for the level of service provided (about 5-10% more) depends.
If you have a lot of stuff to ship and loads of fragile stuff (like in my case) then I would recommend them. Otherwise, I think you may find cheaper guys.
Obviously, I am not done with them. I assume that the goods will be delivered to my place by end of Feb or early March. I will let you know how it all went.

PS: I also negotiated with Bridgeway shipping (not professional customer service agents-gives an idea), Ahmed Saleh Shipping (same as Bridgeway), Allied Pickfords (professional but expensive), Crown (Professional but Expensive)
