Hi,
I was just going through the reply by Decent Punjabi to Ashcanada in the post 'Time to take decision' and one thing clicked to my mind.
If prospective immigrants in India * sanjeevm start meeting and discuss their issues and give a helping hand to each other, it would be GREAT initiative. For example Ashcanada is not sure if he should apply himself or thru a consultant but Decent Punjabi has already applied himself and offered help to Ash, "it may save thousands (or may be lakhs in some cases) of Rupees" to Ash and moreover they start networking before they come to Canada.
I would say that all the prospective immigrants (at least CD members) must start networking in India / ME. They are fortunate enough that they have a platform (CD.com) to meet. When we came to Canada, it was very difficult to know about the prospective immigrants. We literally had NO FRIEND, NO FAMILY MEMBER but now, atleast you 'can not 'say the same if you start meeting and helping each other.
Any thoughts?
