looking for reasonable restaurant within GTA which folks have tried and liked. I am really longing for dosas but dont want to travel as far as the sarvarna bhavan place in mississauga which people have written about earlier. Let me know I plan to go this weekend!!

Whereabouts do you live?
BTW, I thought Mississauga was part of the GTA - maybe I am wrong.

i meant toronto downtown because i am familiar with the subway and dont want to take many busses.
I assumed GTA was downtown (which its not)

Try Embassy Restaurent which is on McNicoll and Finch I think - must be one bus ride from the subway (not sure). It is really good dosa there, though not a popular place.

Why go to a restaurant when you can order fresh home made mouth watering idli/dosas?

We did order the food from Manjula, and it is really good.
Guys, I feel proud of one of our members and would like to applaud her for the enterpreneurship and authentic south indian cuisine.

You might remember the good old college canteen served dosas. Small in size and delicious in taste.
So you might need to order 2 if you normally eat 1 at a regular restaurant. However the idlis are standard size.
Thanks,
