Hello,

I have opened a self-publishing shop in Milton, Ontario and I am looking for South Asians to publish their manuscript.

I have found that there are not many books out there for South Asians by South Asians.

I find that people are losing their heritage and I want to make sure that they do not. The only why I can help is by getting people to write their stories and share them with others in a book.

People are constantly looking for information in their own language or in English. Why not have someone put it in book format and distribute them. Such as books about immigration rules, driving book, cooking book, etc...

The book can be about anything. As long as it is something you want to share.

Let me know what you think!

Take a look at my web site:

Take a look at my article in the Weekly Voice:

Thank you!
Hitesh

Hi Hitesh,
This is neat! Congratulations!

Can you publish bilingual books? e.g: in Hindi and English?

Thanks for the info I may have some more questions for you offline.

hi hitesh,

Good to know that u publish book in our language.
I have a question that how many readers or buyers will buy our language books? and in dollars? I do not want to upset you,but what If I want you to publish my book,I should not think about target readers?

Hi Hgpatel,

Congrats on your new venture. I have a few questions though.

What kind of marketing support would you provide to the writers?

Do you have a good panel of reviewers/editors?

Have you tied up with any big name(s) to market the product internationally?

Do you have an arrangement in place if one wants to order the same book every year but in smaller numbers?

Thanks in advance for your reply.

It appears to me from the website that the author has to pay to have his/her book published and then profit(or loss) from sale of book is author's.

First-time authors may find it difficult to be accepted by a publishing house because of the unpredictable sales of a newcomer's book, or because traditional publishing companies prefer books that will interest the mass market. But now more than ever, many new authors are turning to self-publishing as a viable and profitable alternative. Authors find self-publishing attractive for many reasons but mainly because it allows the author to be in control of the entire creative, production and selling process. Therefore, all money received from book sales are exclusively yours, including the finished copies, the copyright, and all subsidiary rights.
