Will be moving soon from US to Canada this year,probably in Toronto. It was quite strange that we could not find Dishwasher in the apartments in GTA.Is this common among Apartment features?We are quite used to this feature so will appreciate if anyone knows such apartment rental areas in and around Toronto and can list out a few.

Most apartments will not supply a dishwasher. However, you can get yourself a 'countertop' dishwasher - simple setup, connects to your tap, costs about $300, Futureshop presently has a model in their inventory.

Most of the rental buildings dont provide dishwasher. But you can buy portable dishwasher( trolley type) from SEARS.

Now we will look for a portable dishwasher. 
Most of the condos provide dishwasher ..though condos are relatively expensive than apartments

Alomost all condo carry a diswasher. You may get relatively a new apt. with diswasher or can opt for a condo on rent. Sometimes condo is also available on rent.

yup thats something even i found different when i moved here. it was part of the apartment (along with carpeting) that you got back in the u.s.
well the good thing about many apartments here is that there is an indoor trash chute so u dont have to walk outside...and heating is gas so it doent make your electricity bill zoom up!
