Can you please post the links here.

BTW, my cousin just migrated to Australia in Jan 2005, and is working as a security guard making 5000 AUS$ a month. Canada offers nothing close to that.

Wow. Australia must be the richest country in the world then. Cause for a brand new security guard, I doubt if even the U.S. or Switzerland would pay anything like this.

If you don't mind me asking, what is he securing? Like an office building or apt. complex or something else?

I didnt ask him that, but he told me that he is pumping in a lot of hours per week.
Its hard for me to believe it too, but he doesnt lie to me.
The minimum wage in Australia is 12.30 AUS$, and perhaps there is a shortage of security guards there!

oh ok. So you're talking hourly wages, cause I got the impression you're talking full time pay from your first post.

Considering the Aussie dollar's on par with the Canadian dollar, $12.30 min. wage is pretty good, I have to say. Its also significantly higher than the American min. wage. What about the affordability factor though? I wonder how much milk/eggs/rent/fuel etc cost.

Maybe someone in Australia can enlighten us.
