Hi,
I applied in Aug2004 and got AOR in Oct2004. I applied on my own. I have not included IELTS score initially. I took all 16 points and my score calculated was 73. After going through posts and advice from others I gave IELTS test and my scores are as follows
Listening 7.5 - 4 points
Reading 6.5 - 2 points
writing 6.0 - 2 points
speaking 6.0 - 2 points
Average IELTS band- 6.5
Now revised points for language are 10 and score exactly comes to 67.
Shall I go ahead and send them to CIC or take exam again to get more marks.
Is 6 in speaking is lower and a ground for refusal?
Just one more question - I am getting good offers for which I need to relocate to India and from there they may send me to USA or any other country. If I shift, will my file be transferred to India or continue to be processed at CIC london?
Regards

Srinivas dont be panic with your IELTS score , if you get requird marks then dont worry. becuse they consider marks (67) for final decession.
send them otherwise you will delay your process for another 2 more months. Also you can change your CHC location by writing a request, but it will affect the processing time (in case of india it will be very late i heard).

Hi Shreenivas,
I am planning to write IELTS. Could you tell me is there any study material for preparing for this exam? I request you to please help me in this. i am planning to give test before applying to immigration. Also let me know, what are support documents required, incase if i am not giving IELTS score while sending application to embassy/high commision.
if you dont mind, could you give your email id.. so i will be in touch with you...
Advacned thanks.
Hi skindia,
Sorry for late reply. I have not bought any material for IELTS. I surfed net and found couple of pdf files. I did not get time to read also. You can buy Cambridge University material for this test or British counsil.
If you are not submitting langague proficiency proof, that you need to give a statement to CIC and explain you are good in language and you can be given full marks for the same. Its adviced to take test. Thats what I learned from the forum.
