I just got an e-mail from my lawyer confirming to me that my Immigrant Visa is ready to be issued and that I have to send my Passport to the Consulate ASAP.

And as our Canadiandesi tradition goes, here's my timeline:

Acknowledgement Letter Dated: 13th April 2004

Medicals Issued and request for additional papers/docs: Nov 12th 2004

Medicals Received by the Ottawa location: Jan 11th 2005

Additional Doc's sent: Feb 9th 2005

Request for Passport: March 8th 2005

Any one have any idea for the time line after medicals???? Its been almost 7 months now......

Congarts…. Your wait is over. I see LA office is fast
I am also waiting for passport request. It has been more than one year since my medicals are done. I guess Buffalo, NY office is shutdown since I have repeatedly sent them fax and mails but no response from them or else they have thrown my case in dustbin.
I see applying from USA was a mistake, I applied Buffalo, NY in Jan 2003........ still in dilemma..
