Dear All,
I am a newbie both in the forum as well as in the IT field. I was recently contacted by accenture for a Screening Interview, which I believe went well. However the lady did say she would call me back the same evening for the Behavioural - which was the next step. Since she did not call, I decided to call her up. When I did, I reached her voicemail which announced that she would be on vacation... In the eventuality that the position is still open when she returns and I have a behavioural interview lined up would you please advice me on the nature of interview questions I might face considering I have only 6 months expeirnce in the IT industry.
Regards,
Nayn
hi,
After u r behavioral interview , they will call for Skill interview.suddenly they will call and say that you will have an interview tomarrow. So prepare well.I don't how much experience you have ,if you have 3 yrs then they will offer you 43k per annum.6 months probation etc.If you are new to canada, join blindly in accenture.
Well after interviewed by two managers at Accenture,Vancouver for the position of Bussiness System Analyst, i was told that technically i was good and rest of the stuff were too fine but i dont have enough architect and project management experience, which sucks.
As these two are separate positions , an architect is an architect and a project manager is PM, how can they expect such experience in one person.
also they look for people who have done development, know bussiness stuff, design, mgmt, architect and everything.
As of date now i still havent got any response from them except this feedback given by one of the manager, i got this from the HR person i was talking with.
Even the HR person was also irritated to hear about my interview and was telling me that he dont know what these guys are looking for....
i did followed up with him for two weeks but nothing good in return.
so finally i stopped following up and its been two weeks now and no response which means NOT interested.

Mad sense to me.

Don't take it too hard.
I am sure you will do a lot better next time.
Better luck next time.
Lana,
I was thinking about the third possibility, that they are still looking for their best candidate while putting me on hold. if they get their best in-time then TaTa to me or else maybe they call me.

There are two possibilities for no response:
1) He has a requirement for a project but the client has not signed on the dotted line. So unless client does that he cannot hire. This is how it works in Big 5 these days. All new hires must be hired for the project. He does not wait till the client signs the project as it is tyoo late. So he starts the process of interview.
2) He is lazy and does not bother to respond. Generally, in Big 5 they donot do it. If you follow up and they have decided not to hire you, they will tell you that at this point we have decided not to hire you, or we found candidates matching exact requirements we are looking for.
After the tech bubble, even the hiring managers in Big 5 have to justify a lot to hire new people.
