What exactly do you mean by P.Eng course? Does it mean you are supposed to give 4 technical exams?

If you have sufficient experience in India, the exams can be waived, and you are eligible for technical interview. It all depends upon decision made by ERC/ARC

Sangeetha, P.Eng. is not a course, it s a designation for regulated professions to work as Professional Engineers. the first stage is Academic Credentials Evaluation, based on whic candidate is asked to appear for Confirmatory exams, if it really comes closer to similar field in Canada. After that, further steps, u might be aware of. If not, please PM me. Currently, I am on the way towards this designation.

For the preparation of confirmatory exams, there are lot of online and costly courses, not sure if u really want to go thru something like that though! And notice that all those online courses are just to help you to prepare for the exams.

And Meghal, I havent come across a single person yet whose exams were waived based on Indian education and experience. But then, I am just new here, and am still getting aware of things here.

Department of multiculturalism offers assistance towards getting foreign credentials assessed. It may help me to tell u clearly, if u tell what stage of P.Eng. are you at!

Regards.

Me and my two other colleauges had their exams waived, albeit we had Canadian experience. But I met an engineer from Ahmedabad, who was appearing for interview, even though he did not have Canadian experience.

One of my friend had his masters from IIT, and he was able to directly appear for PPE

Ultimately it depends upon how much experience you have, and how well you are able to put your resume.

Thanks Meghal, this is something new to me. I thought even a single paper like 'Engineering Economics' is compulsory for Indian Engineers! Thanks for sharing this info Meghal.

Regards.

Pl. visit the website

http://www.epic-edu.org" rel="nofollow">LINK

This organization had been conducting courses for P.Eng exams for a while and is only one now in GTA area (Mississauga). They have a open house for the prospective students (pl. check visit the website or call them for further information). Several engineers with foreign qualificaitons take the courses before taking the exams and found to be very useful
