I will like to purchase a shop in Mississauga/Brampton area. Can anybody guide me what will be aprox. cost for a shop of say 500 sq, feet. How much down payment is required? ( considering i had good credit history). how much i will have to pay for Insurance, Municipal Taxes & utilities. Will total expenditure will be considerable cheaper than what i have to pay as rent? How much rent I can expect on it? Is shop in upcoming desi plaza are good investment.I need only rough estimates. i can invest upto 60-70 K from my funds for down payment.

In my opinion, buying is better than leasing if you are sure about the location and that the business you want to operate delivers expected profits for you. There is however a downturn in buying. While you can insist on non-competitive business restriction from the Leasee when you lease, there is less liklehood of having this privilege from the Developer in the owned market space.
Whatever you decide, make sure you know the advantages and disadvantages of each type of investment.

you mean to say if i buy from developer, use of shop is fixed like grocery/dental office etc. Do you have any idea for price per sqare foot in desi plazaz coming up in brampton?. How much Motgage we can get?
