I heard that Yahoo mail will be 1GB from min-april. Is it true?

Don't know if true but are you able to use 250 MB though?
Gmail, rediffmail.com and walla.com already offer 1 GB storage space.

Yahoo is indeed giving 1 GB now - says so on their home page
(I hope they are not pulling an April Fool's)

They are saying that by May, all accounts will be upgraded to 1 GB.
So, it can't be April Fool's.
I'll be glad if and when they do that - I don't like GMail.

and the news is that gmail is removing storage restrictions all together.. so you can store as much as you want.. they already upgraded it to 1.4 GB.
GMAIL still rocks.. its fast.. and also supports POP.

Your attitude, not your aptitude, will determine your altitude.
I am not that much space crazy - features and usability matters to me more.
I find GMail very cumbersome to use and can never find my messages or the options I am looking for.
Hotmail is too obnoxious and "advertisy" for my taste.
When Yahoo upgraded from 10 MB to 100, that was enough for me.
Now they are at 250 MB and that's more than adequate.
1 GB will be great, but I am not holding my breath for it.
One feature I would like for them to improve though is the file upload limit - I think they currently allow only 10 MB size per file.
It'll be great if they can bump that up to something like 50 MB - then I can use it like my free Zip drive
