Dear CD'S

I've been in this site for a while. All I noticed is people live in Canada and keep giving negative image about Canada for future immigrants. If you're not happy with Canada then why do you immigrate? Ok you've immigrated fine!!!! if you're not happy then leave!!!!! Never compare between US and Canada. Every place has it's own merits and demerits plus it depends on every persons exp of life in each place.

Let me tell about my life exp!!! I was born in India and had my schooling till high school and left to London, England (Not London, Ontario) for BBA and MBA. Worked for 4 years before moving to US. Landed in US worked for 1 year before moving to Canada. 7 years have passed and have been working in US and Canada. I work for a company have branch over US and Canada. I've seen both sides of the coin.

I prefer Canada over US. You may ask why? But it's a personal choice. Nothing is secured in US as long as you've your GC. Education is too high in good universities: Ex: If you want to do your "Construction Management" from USC the fee is around $45k. University of Toronto is leading university in Canada and comes top 15 in the world. For the same course you pay $15k Canadian. Still you get the same top quality education.

Health benefits: Yes Canada has high tax with health benefit free. US: If you're employer pay fine (Now most of the employer don't want to pay) If out of your pocket then it's very expensive. End of the day plus or minus Canada/US the same.

I can write more but want to keep it simple with important factors.

Hope this info will be useful. I'm not forcing my views on anyone, this is just my views.

Thanks,

Anand16

1. Why stop ppl from projecting whatevr images they wish 2 as long as they wish 2 share the experience ? Maybe their experience helps others in making their mind .

2. Even if ppl have migrated and felt that they havent got their dues -- they still have an option 2 stay on and still crib that they didnt get what they expected . Now thats being honest and nothing wrong in that too .

3. We already have a thread on US / Canada . This discusion wud be better if discussed there . Y start a new thread when theres 1 existing for the same topic.

4. Since no1 stops any1 from posting in positives y criticize those who r posting negatives . Let the readers decide for themselves.

The whole "If you dont like it, you can leave .<insert country>" reminds me of what some americans say thesedays when someone criticizes America.

Thanks for your views!!! Well I lived in Europe for 11 years and last 8 years including 2005 in both US and Canada. So total of 19 years of my life. I've seen both sides of the coin. I just expressed my views!!!! No one can judge a place without living in a place for more than couple of years at a time.

For Example: I can't judge about Australia or New Zealand living in US and Canada. Yes i did travel for vacation to Australia and New Zealand but never lived there to tell my exp. It's all personal choice.

It's a free world and anyone can express their feeling in this free world.

Are they lying? Is that "negative" image unsubstantiated or untrue? There are no absolutes in such issues. Like any thing else, it is neither 100% good for 100% of the immigrants nor 100% bad for 100%of the immigrants.

Opinions are generally based on personal experiences. In order to then prevail, these are then buttressed by statistics. In this last part of the equation, it is a fact that while immigration to Canada has been worthwhile and rewarding for some, that number is far outweighed by those for whom it has been just the reverse.
If people are generating a "negative" image, it is not without reason.

How can I say I am unhappy with a place until I have been to that place??

That's not as easy as you make it out. For reasons, search elsewhere on this board for my posts.

Why not?

And didn't you just go on and do exactly that??

There are several who too have been in both countries like you, and favour US over Canada. If you can find and write in favour of Canada, why can't they?

Thanks for your views!!!! Yes offcourse everyone has right to express their views!!!! I did mine to the best of my knowledge!!!! 90% of the posting are negative remarks on Canada, so lets 10% people like me can give some positive view about Canada. Lets be fair and bold enough to say some positive remarks also in the postings!!! Hope someone can support me on this views.

This is a free world and please feel free to express your feelings both merits and demerits!!!!!

Thanks,
