Can anyone tell me how to change the settings of History pages on IExplorer? I went into Tools - Options - General where I find History settings. It is Greyed and I cannot change it atall, neither can I clear history. This is a Laptop I am using (IBM thinkpad) which is connected every morning to the office network.
IE version is 6.0
Any guidance appreciated.

Depends if you have admin rights to the system coz you will have to tweak the registry.
Try the following steps.
1. Before you do anything backup the registry. Open the Registry Editor.
2. Navigate to the following string:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Control Panel
3. Right-click the History value and choose Modify. Change the data from 1 to 0. If you don't see History then something else that makes sense coz they might have been smart enuff to name it something else.
Hope this helps.
It seems these settings have been restrcited for you. If you want to delete history for IE.
Go to "C:\Documents and Settings\<User_name>\Local Settings\History"
If you don't find it in C drive it may also be on D drive in the same path.
You can delete the changes here..
To make the History Changes from IE itself you will have to do some modifications in Registrey or you can use "Microsoft AntiSpyware" to restore IE settings to default.
