LANDING SOON on MAY 18 AT TORONTO.
Any advice,suggestions,health checkups,immunizations?
Dear Colleagues,
After quite some plannig, arriving at Toronto 1800 hrs by Aeroflot from Mumbai.
Please offer ,inform to me any advice, suggestions on the AIRLINE itself as well as the immigration process.Do i need any immunization (vaccines)details to bring along with me?
How much time does it take for the IMMIGRATION PROCESS?
I assume I have to mention the address of my uncle where I will be staying to the immigration for collecting my P-R card!
I hope to get some change(CAD 100 ) at the airport and take the DIAMOND taxi to my uncle's residence in Toronto.
Can I plan and also book my taxi?
Any forwarned conditions like touts, baggage delays, agents, etc to be aware of...

Please,please advice, suggest.

Dont worry.. you will be fine. Make sure you bring all your immigration papers. I mean ALL. The process at the airport is simple and when you get out into the airport, head to an 'information desk' and they will help you find whatever you need to do. It is good idea.. you bring some CAD $$ with you as you will need it.

good luck.

Don't worry. process is so simple for immigration at airport. As they get hundreds of migrants everyday. it will take max. 1 hour. lot of taxis are avialable at airport. no need for any booking etc. just come out of the terminal & go to taxi stand area. touts /agents/porter are there but not like India. Avoid them. From airport all taxis are on fixed fare basis depending on the area where you are going. ( like pre-paid in India/Only thing here you pay at destination). Good Luck.

Make sure if you are smoker, then bring your enough stock with you, Canada has its own brands, Marlboro is one of the most smooking brand in the world which unfortunately not available in Canada.

It's good to carry some CAD 1 $ coins (looney) with u. This is essential to borrow the baggage trolleys at the airport. Self help is better.
If u have school going children then you'll need their immunization/ vaccination records.
Don't forget to get your 'goods to follow' paper stamped.

Have a nice trip.

baggage trolley is free in arrival area at toronto airport. Only in departure area you have to pay 1 $. Also, there is a limit of Cigratte import which is 200 that too duty paid in canada. So, avoid unnesessary cigrates.
