I am in a unique situation. My current employer is asking me to apply for TN while a future opportunity is offering to file my H1. I have few questions? Will appreciate your suggestions/advise.

1- Can I go for TN status at the port of entry for Company A while your H1 sponsored by Company B is under process?

2- If you are at TN status with company A, can Company B (future employer) apply for my H1 without screwing both.

3- If I am on TN, can Company A place me at their client site. I will still be paid by Company A

4- Can you get TN if you are on contract and not employed by Company A in US.
