But as soon as he is out of it, he can don it.
the jew can wear his cap, the arab his cap, the arab girl can cover her head etc...
Then they all go home to their parents who are very traditional and conservative.

Just a correction to your above statement. Being Arab doesn't necessarily mean you are Muslim, therefore the Arab girl wouldn't necessarily cover her head!
