Well, assumed that the person requesting info is in accounting field. Even if you are not Indian CA, you could still write US CPA. I know one guy from India, he is just B.Com. but passed US CPA easily. If you are in India, I am sure there are lot of classes available for US CPA exams.
Thanks for sharing this Lana. I did not knwo that. I was thinking about doing CPA.
I think it makes more sense to do CPA first. After CPA, if you also want to do CGA, then you can start at PACE level (which is the last level). Athough after you become a CPA you won't be required to do anything else, however you can further your credentials by doing CGA or adapting to the Canadian CA. The point is that it makes your career path a lot faster thru CPA.
I am planning to do CPA myself being just a B.Com from India. Also, with CPA you have lots of jobs opportunities within Canada and US.
Is there anybody who can help me with some information on doing CPA from Canada:
1. How do I make arrangements for my evaluation through a US state board?
2. Which state is best to apply from (for Indian, B.Com guy like me).
3. What must I do first, apply for the exam first, do the evaluation first or start studying first??
Please help!!

Hi there,
I am currently working in business development engineering, where I deal with project estimate, risks, proposal etc. I was thinking to pursue CGA. I have following questions:
1. Can my experience in engineering (including quality and environmental auditing) be accounted for the practical experience requirement for CGA.
2. Will my engineering degree satisfy CGA educational qualification requirements?
Any answer will be appreciated.

I am a Indian CA and CPA from USA but does'nt have any Canadian experiance. Did'nt get any job even after one months serach of 8 hours per day. I think even after i pass CGA unless i had practical exposure, also which is one of requirement for license of CGA even after you pass CGA, i would not get any job. So check out the not only CGA acedmic test but also proceadure of practical experiance mandatory required. Correct me if i am wrong.
