With spyware, best solution would have been to format the hard drive & then reinstall all software with a software like Norton Internet Security & Spysweeper both to get the best possible protection. Incidentally Norton Internet security comes with anti-spyware now.

Coolwebsearch is very nasty and hard to get rid of spyware/adware. It shuts down many antispyware programs and comes back after if at all removed by antispyware programs.
