Hi,
I am working in USA on H1B visa and my wife is with me on H4 visa, since last four years. My twin babies were born last month and they are American Citizen by birth.
I landed in Canada on 15th March 2003 as Landed Resident. We got SIN # and also opened a bank account in Canada. And then I moved back to USA with my wife and I am staying in USA.
My question is that "Do I still maintain the Canadian Immigrant Status as of now as I am staying in USA?"
Can I continue to stay in USA for next two years, without losing my Canadian Immigrant status or I have to move Canada.
Can I go to Canada any time without any problem, if I go then what should I take care?
Please advice me.
Thanks,
Anurag
As per the new rule:
"You can meet these residency obligations if you spend 730 days (two (2) years) of physical presence in Canada in every five-year period.
While this means that you can spend a total of up to 3 years outside of Canada during a 5-year period, if you leave the country for an extended period of time, it is up to YOU to prove to Citizenship and Immigration Canada that you plan to continue to live in Canada."
Let's wait for Masood bhai's answer.
