Hi!!
I just wanted to know that in how many cases the Canadian consulate in Buffalo asks for IELTS score when the applicant is enrolled in a postgraduate program in a reputed university in Canada for more than a year.
I have applied to buffalo and submitted a letter and TOEFL score, 267/300 (which has expired 6 months ago) as a proof of my high proficiency in english. if anybody has some idea about it, it will be helpful?
because if they ask for the IELTS score too often, I should plan for taking the test.

I don't think TOEFL will do any good. They might get back to you asking to go through IELTS. I may caution you that IELTS has test centers in limited places here so you will have to apply for the exam in advance. In fact, TOEFL is no longer the standard with CIC, they either ask for IELTS or some other test in Canada. I would suggest you apply for an exam and give the test and submit it, rather than wait till they get back. This way you might lose a lot of time.

Well.. I think IELTS is a must.
Since there's a waiting time of over a month for the exam at any given point in time, its better you plan and prepare for it right away.
