converting TC to USD

Where can i convert Am Express TC's to USD at PAR/minm loss in scarbrough /GTA .I had visited Am Ex office and they only give out CAD.
I wasn't able to find this info in previous posts.
Would appreciate advice of experienced Desi's.

Singhr,

You have to go to the American Express Head office at 101 McNabb St, Markham. Suggest call then before hand to confirm.

My parents have done that not too long ago.

If the amount is small you could also go to one of their travel centres.

Thx for the info.The amount i want to convert isn't small .Can u pls proide the phone no of Amex office i need to visit ,if it is readily available with you.

Am posting this info for the benefit of new desi's landing in toronto-

I changed American Ex TC's to USD at Am Ex, 101 McNabb St.They exchange at par but the maximum limit is 3000 USD per day per person.If your amount is higher than 3000 USD, you will need to make two or more trips.

Some banks in toronto(Eg Montreal Bank)charge 1.5% for conversion but the authorised agencies of AmEx charge a higher commission.So if amount is small,TC's could be exchanged at other Banks.
